We designed this card for a client moving from Kochi to Mumbai. An illustrative cartoon in a style inspired by the celebrated cartoonist ‘Mario Miranda’ seemed effective and relevant. The humour was subtle, in the form of a traditional coconut palm, uprooted and loaded together with their luggage on top of the car. The card opens to an image of the palm replanted in their new location in Mumbai. The message says ‘Nammude Kochi to Amchi Mumbai” which translates to ‘Our Kochi to Our Mumbai’, implying a sense of belonging to both cities.
